Suggest Treatment For Low Folic Acid Level

had blood tests which showed that i have a low level of folic acid. my doctor was very vague about what causes this. i am 52 year old female. i wonder if you could tell me more as i have been extremely tired for weeks hence the reason for the blood tests

Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Low folic acid can lead on to anemia.
2. Folic acid is a very important vitamin in cell development. Its deficiency can affect all the cells principally fast growing cells like blood cells.
3. Take Folic acid tablets and get a reticulocyte count tested after two weeks. If its increasing, means its responding. Continue therapy.
