Suggest Treatment For Low TSH Level

second blood test in 3 weeks results in TSH at 0.005. T4 is 1.27 and Trilodothyronine is 3.8.

Phy Asssit ordering ultrasound and a Nuclear Med on Thyroid. Im a 52 white male with no other health issues other than I take Niaspan at 1000mg daily.

Is this the right direction to take?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

Your TSH level is very low and T3 level is high. So you need to take drugs to lower your thyroid hormones level.

Drugs like propylethiouracil or methimazole are commonly used to control hyperthyroidism. But before starting medicine go for ultrasound thyroid as per advise. Then take treatment according to advise.
