Suggest Treatment For Loss Of Appetite, Heart Burn And Tiredness

Well I have had a decrease in my appetite. Constant heart burn. When I eat a lot of the times it feels like it burns all the way down my throat and chest. Or if I drink coke it does it to. I feel full and bloated alot along with a soured stomach sometimes. Tonight my poop smelled really bad. I get tired really easy. Muscles ache and get out of breath easier it seems.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
With such type of symptoms , I would come up with these possibilities , these include :
1 The first possibility is of peptic ulcer disease or hiatus hernia . Diagnosis can be confirmed by Upper G I endoscopy. Try raising the head of your bed about 4 inches with blocks. It might also help to avoid eating or drinking for 2-3 hours before you lie down. To control stomach acid ( HEART BURN ) ,one should not drink alcohol or drinks with caffeine in them or eat chocolates or greasy of oily foods . Also take some antacid but if symptoms are severe , you may need drugs like proton pump inhibitors like pantaprazole-D ,once or twice in days .
2 the next reason of such symptoms may be due to tension or worries or stressful life , so if possible avoid these predisposing factors.
3 Loss of appetite may be due to heart burn or hyper acidity or tension.
So when such patient visit I prescribe them to take cyproheptadine+sorbitol=tricholine syrup . This will not only boost appetite but also help in digestion.
Bad smell in the stool may be due to indigestion .
Hope this will help you.
