Suggest Treatment For Lip Ulcer With Swollen And Chapped Lips

Hello, I recently injured myself by busting my bottom lip, and I now have a large ulcer on the inside of the lip. It's very difficult to eat, and extremely sensitive. My lips have now become very sore, swollen and chapped. They're so painfully dry that it hurts to talk. I also feel very sick, like I could vomit. Is there anything I can do? Is everything, the sickness, ulcer and chapped lips related? Thank you.

Hello!Welcome to HCM.

Apply a soothing ointment like quadragel over the area. Apply thrice daily before food for 5 minutes and rinse it off.
Best thing is to rinse with warm saline thrice daily.
Take a OTC analgesic if necessary.
This must be reduced in 3-5 days.See your dentist if it persists longer than this.

Regards.
