Suggest Treatment For Lack Of Bowel Movement Days After Surgery

Had surgery 5 days ago, not had a BM since, have taken senokot and stool softener for 2 days with no results, tried using a dulcolax suppository today, could only hold in for 10 minutes....but still no relief, how soon before i can try another one YYYY@YYYY

Let me ask you a few questions.

1. What surgery did you undergo 5 days ago?
2. Did you have constipation prior to surgery?

It would have been great had I examined you on my own.

I would suggest you to continue with the stool softener .

Try the suppository the next day.

Visit your surgeon. He/she can examine you and correlate clinically.
