Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am trying to figure out the best route to go. I have a knot beside my right shoulder blade. It doesn t get better by moving my arm. Three of my figure tingle or go numb. Rubbing the spot or area around it helps briefly. No swelling. No redness. Not hot to the touch. Do I see my family doctor, a chiropractor or massage therapist?
There is radiating pain from inter scapular region downwards. Usually cervical disc bulge leads to nerve compression . so I will advise you physiotherapy like Interferential therapy and auto traction for early recovery. Static and against resistance guided exercise therapy may help in this case. You can consult physiotherapist for that.
MRIcervical spine will help you to see severity of nerve compression.
Consult your doctor for investigation. Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Take care
