My son is a new born and he has jundice. He is also g6pd. We went to hospital for phototherapy twice because 1st time it was 411 and after 36 hrs phototherapy came to 290 and they send us home but after a week it went up to 357 and again we went to phototherapy it came down to 230 again they send us home today but we are worried

neonatal jaundice is almost a rule in all new born. its the change over of blood from foetal to adult variety in lay mans terms that causes it.
photo therapy is the answer.
the doctors must be monitoring the baby for any unwanted signs so please be patient and keep visiting for followup as advised it will come down in time
