Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have itchy scabs on my scalp. If I pick at them a seemingly clear yellow oozing occurs. I have had this before and it went away. I ve been using a chlorhexidine soap after I shampoo to dry it up and disinfect. Do you know why I would have this and what I can do to stop or prevent this?
First of all please stop picking at them. Visit a dermatoligist who can visually examine the region and possibly even prescribe antibiotics if at all the region has gotten infected. For now, stop picking on your scalp and also keep the region clean and dry for as long as possible. Shower everyday, and do not allow the region to be wet or dirty.
Best wishes.
