Suggest Treatment For Itchy Red Bumps All Over Body

I have small red bumps that itch randomly all over my body. I feel like they started on my chest (4-5 bumps), they are on my arms (probabably 10-12) back of my legs (approximately 4-6) and . They look like hives but don t go away. They don t itch all the time but I definitely know they are there. I have been putting itch reliever on them. They stop itching but then the itching returns. I have had them for over a week. I have not used any new products (ie. laundry detergent, soap, etc). I did begin recently to use new foundation (make-up) on my face but I do not have any of the bumps on my face. Any ideas what they may be?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy red bumps all over body which is probably due to viral infection which is lowering down your immunity and making you prone for infection. It could be due to allergic reactions and contact dermatitis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take combination of antiviral drug along with anti-inflammatory drug. Avoid hot, spicy and sharp food substances. Take diet rich in multivitamins and vitamin C. You should not touch or prick red bumps. Your symptoms will resolve in 4-5 days. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit ENT specialist/ dermatologist once and get some routine blood investigation and skin patch test done. Take hot milk rich in turmeric as it will boost immunity.
