General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

Short answer: Insect bite (?)

Detailed answer:
Thank you for asking.
Your symptoms are suggestive of an insect bite which you might have not noticed.

Usually it will be reduced after some days.

However, sometimes it may cause generalised allergic reaction which may be life threatening. Watch out for urticaria, breathing difficulty, vomiting.

Use ice packs to reduce swelling.

Take Tab Cetrezine 10mg once a day to reduce itching.

If it doesn't go away even after few days, you may need to consult a general surgeon who will be able evaluate your case.

If you need any further assistance, feel free to contact me.

Regards,
Dr . Prathap Kumar
