Suggest Treatment For Itchy Pimple On The Clitoral Hood
Hi. I discovered what seems like a pimple just above my clitoral hood, and I ve been experiencing itchiness and irritation outside my vulva. I had a standard STD examination over the summer but recently had unprotected sex with someone - though not to completion. It is possible that I ve contracted HPV?
- Pimple. It might be just a pimple like you mentioned which will disappear in few days or -might be a skin tag which doesn't cause any irritation and if painful it has to be cut off with cautery by dermatologist or surgeon.
- Might be a wart which is cauliflower like growth and its due to HPV. Again needs to be treated with cautery by dermatologist or surgeon.
Second thing is HPV about HPV. It can be contracted even with protected sex. Condoms can protect you from HIV but not HPV.
Third thing, whether you contracted it or not. Only way to say you contracted HPV is you got warts on skin. There is no blood tests as it is a skin condition not systemic disease which affects many organs.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sagar
