Suggest Treatment For Itchy And Blocked Ears After Using Ear Drops

Hello my name is sara and Iam 21 years old two weeks ago I started having earche then I went to the pharmacy and bought some ear drops and they did not work so then couple days ago I bought another brand of the ear drop couple hours ago the pain increased so I have putted the ear drops in and then my ear started to burn up and it is itchy and blocked and it is beating and hurting what do u advice me to do I can t go to the doctor because Iam leaving the country after two days

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy and blocked ears after using ear drops which could be due to earwax accumulation, accumulation of water within the ear, atmospheric pressure changes and blockage in the Eustachian tubes. Sometimes it is due to fungal infection as well.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Get examination done by audiometer and go for otoscopic examination. You should take a deep breath and pinch your nose. Now, try to exhale like you are trying to breathe out. Avoid touching or pricking ear with any sharp object. Do warm saline gargles. You should use wax dissolving solutions.
