General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
Irregular periods in child bearing age may be due to .
1 Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease , as this is the main cause of irregular bleeding , so get in ultrasound of both ovaries .
2 Hormonal imbalance is the second most common cause of irregular bleeding . Get in blood for estrogen, androgen, FSH/LH ratio.
3 Sometimes endocrine glands disease may be the cause of irregular bleeding or amenorrhea . Get in M R I of various endocrine glands and consult an ENDOCRINOLOGIST .
In my opinion first of all consult a gynecologist and get his opinion.
Good luck.
