General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I understand your concern.
I would suggest a detailed gynecological/physical check up of your wife with investigations to point out cause of her irregular cycles.
Seveir anemia, chronic disease, debilitating disease like TB, diabetes, thyroid problems, ovarian problem like PCOd are common causes for such condition.
Usually blood CBC, thyroid function tests, blood sugar, USG abdomen are minimum investigations done for such patients.
once the exact cause is found, specific treatment can be given to get her normal menses- which will make conception possible.
Thanks.
