Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query.Irregular periods can be due to various problems like Polycystic ovarian disease or thyroid abnormalities.Considering your overweight a Polycystic ovarian disease can be most likely suspected.A physical examination by gynecologist followed by ultrasound examination should be done to rule out that.TSH blood test should be done rule out thyroid abnormalities. If it is polycystic ovarian disease at least 10 percent of loss of body weight helps you to normalize periods.Diet alone wont be helpful for that.I usually advise metformin therapy and Liraglutide injections along with diet for attaining that.Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.
