Suggest Treatment For Iron Deficiency And High Cholesterol

Hi, I need help figuring out how to change my diet because I am anemic (hemoglobin 8.2) and I also have a high cholesterol (258). According to most health websites, what I need to eat to improve my iron levels and what I need to eat to lower my cholesterol are mostly contradicting. Example: to improve iron level I need to eat red meat but not good for my high cholesterol. don t know what to do now. Please help. Michelle M.

yes!! you are right by eating meat you will increase cholesterol as well.but hypercholesterolemia are often counseled to limit or eliminate intake of red meats, despite evidence that lean red meats (LRMs) are not hypercholesterolemic in comparison with lean white meats (LWMs).
I don't know which type of anemia you are having it,because that will be the basis for suggestions.same way high cholesterol. But ,In both cases you should get diagnosed and treatment accordingly with particular medicines.
