Suggest Treatment For Ingrown Toe Nail

I had extra skin on the edges of my big toe nail. My instinct was to clip it off, so I did which resulted it into bleeding a lot. A day later a little gooey thing which almost look like a leech began to grow on the right side of my big toe nail (where I cut off the extra skin). Whenever I touch it, it hurts a lot and will bleed for a long amount of time. What is this thing, and how can I get rid of it?

Hello and thanks for your query.

I shall make an effort to provide you with good professional recommendations specific to your questions.
based on the information provided it appears to be Ingrown Toenail.

It appears this can be managed at home, so i advice you to Soak your sore toe in warm water for 15 minutes 2 to 3 times a day, use wet cotton plug under the corner of your ingrown nail. This will help lift the nail off of the skin. Do not try to use a needle to drain the pus from your toe. This could make the infection worse.
If they do not help, you might need to see your doctor. Be sure to see a doctor if your toe gets infected. Your toe might be infected if it hurts more than it did before you tried the home treatment.
Depending upon the severity based on the examination by the doctor he can prescribe antibiotic or if required he may drain pus if it is present.

Yet again, I duly appreciate your query to me, I do hope that you have found something useful to help you and I shall be glad to answer any further apprehensions.

Sincerely
I find this answer helpful
