Suggest Treatment For Ingrown Toe Nail

Hi there, My 13 year old son has been battling an ingrown toenail for awhile. We believe the nail was extracted. However, there is a crusty blood that is coming out of area. We soak, apply fuciden etc. My question is is the blood part of the infection coming out? OR should the blood have stopped? Its been 3 weeks, since Dr. Cut out nail. It is like a scab keeps forming.... Not sure if we need oral antibiotics or if we keep reopening a healing area when wiping away scab after soaking. Thanks, Sheri - YYYY@YYYY

Hi.
Nail-bed is highly vascular region. So it may taken some time for bleeding to stop. Dont worry. Dont remove scab, it will fall off on its own.
Use Potassium permanganate in water in dilution of 1:10000 to wash the affected area twice daily and continue applying fucidin cream.

Thanks.
