Suggest Treatment For Inflammation In Adnexa Of Uterus And Pouch Of Douglas
Just did my scan and the doc said I have an inflammatory tissue reaction in both adnexac as well as in the pouch of Douglas causing poor interface btw pelvic organs.and there is mild free fluid collection in the puch of douglas.pls I need u to direct me on what drugs to take
As per the ultrasound scan findings and symptoms you have mentioned it suggest you have pelvic inflammatory disease(inflammation in adnexa of uterus and pouch of douglas).
It might have occured from ascending genital infections.
You should get proper genital swab and culture tests done this time also and start antibiotics accordingly.
Also you can consult a venerologist to rule out STD's.
Treatment of partner simultaneously is most important to prevent repeated attacks.
I also advise you to use Condoms while your contact to avoid further episodes.
Also maintain personal hygiene.Maintain adequate hydration.
Treatment depend upon underlying cause. You should consult your gynecologist.
