Suggest Treatment For Infertility While Having Thyroid

Hello Doctor, last time is tested my TSH it was 5.91 and I was prescribed by a endocrine thyronorm 12.5 mcg , I did complete the course and after 6 week wen I did my blood test today its 6.45 TSH. What should I do. I did my blood test since I am not getting my periods regularly since last period cycle. I am 27 married a year and a half. and planning for kids. I work in the night shift , have no proper schedule. please suggest what should I do. Will this thyroid ever be cured.

Thanks for posting this question

If you are planning for pregnany your TSH should be less than 2.5 miu/ml. Here it is more . So you have to increase the thyroxin dose probably to 50 mcg after consulting a physician or endocrinologist.

Additional test that is usually done to see if you have to be continuously on thyroid medications are

1. Anti thyroid antibodies
2. Ultrasound thyroid
