Suggest Treatment For Infections In Nose

Due to a Proplast that caused an infection in 09, I ve had numerous (lost count) nasal reconstructions. I had such a beautiful nose. The most recent surgery was May 12, 2014. I m SO frustrated with the way it looks. It s way too short for my face and there is a deep indentation on the right side. I was told by the last surgeon that a filler would not be satisfactory. I was also told that when the scar tissue softens, he also wants to insert a bone graph from my hip to elongate the nose.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Bone grafts get resorbed and re-shortening of the nose will be an occurrence. Ask for the Mashed cartilage and fascia lata strip for the best possible results.
First of all wait for all the tissues to settle well, this is minimum 9 months and preferably one and half years.
If the infection is present then must be treated with long term treatment till confirmed.
I hope this answer helps you.
