I m concerned that I may have contracted a skind condition or infection on the skin of my penis. After having sex and washing my self ofcourse in the sink, later that day I notice a single pink/red circle of skin on my shaft. Please help me figure out what I may have and the best options I have for treatment. Thank you!
It might be sexually transmitted infection such gonorrhea, syphilis, or chancroid. Advice 1. Ceftriaxone 250 mg intramuscular single dose 2. Azithromycin 1gm single dose orally 3. Metronidazole 400 mg every 12 hours orally after meal for 7 days 4. Take hepatitis B vaccine – 3 doses – on 0, 1 and 6 months 5. Use condom before sex 6. Inform your partner also about the disease 7. Investigations i. R/E of urine j. C/S of urine k. TLC & DLC l. VDRL m. HBsAg (Australia antigen) n. HCV DNA o. HIV screening Further action will be taken after report. Thanks
