Suggest Treatment For Infected Wound On Feet

Son had a splinter in his foot for a while that is infected. I think I got the splinter out but there is a red line going from sore across the foot. Does this require immediate attention or can it wait until Monday if not better. Going to soak in Epsom salt and oils.

Welcome to HealthcareMagic.com. Sorry to hear about your sons foot. Please note that unless the splinter is removed, totally then the sore will not heal. I would wait and see if the swelling and redness goes away as you believe that you removed the splinter, if the redness, pain and swelling persists, then it needs to have some medical attention. This can wait until Monday, but make sure that the redness/cellulitis does not continue spreading upwards, this is called tracking. I hope this helps. Good luck
