If your pregnancy test even after 30 days of medical termination of pregnancy attempt is positive, it suggests that the medicines have failed and your pregnancy is still continuing.
In fact Tab. Mifepristone followed by Tab. Misoprostol give best results in terminating the pregnancy up to 9 weeks of gestation.
These medicines are known to cause developmental abnormalities in the baby. Hence if these medicines fail to terminate the pregnancy, surgical evacuation should be undertaken. Continuation of pregnancy is not advisable.
You may undergo ultrasonography to confirm the diagnosis of continuation of pregnancy and failure of Misoprostol. If the uterus contains the products of conception, please do not waste time and undergo surgical evacuation of the uterus ASAP to avoid serious side effects like heavy bleeding and/or infection.
I hope this gives you the required message.
