Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism Along With High Bp

Hi I am 28 yrs of age. I had hyperthyroid and I was taking neomarcazol 30mg per day for 9 months. Last test was conducted on 15th august 2011 where my tsh value was 22 where normal range is 0.4 to 6.02 so now I am a hypo and bp is elevated now and its contant with 160/90 even i am talking betaloc 50mg daily which I started from past 5 days. What I need to do ? please suggest.

Hi,

Regarding hyperthyroidism - you have to decrease the dose of Neomercazole to probably 20 mg after consulting a physician. Decrease the intake of iodised salt which will control both hyperthyroidism and hypertension.
