hello dr, i am having hypothroid for the past 5 years.i am taking 50mcg thyronorm tablet in the morning with empty stomch. but my tsh result always shows 5.1 and the legpain,dizziness were remains the same.recenty before one week my reports came .In that t3 is 0.77ng/ml and t4 is 6.3 and tsh level is 5.032.What should I do?also iam having triglycerride levl is245.3.Is there any problem.please advise me
Hello and thank you for asking! I have gone carefully through your concern! Your TSH level continues to be high because the dose of levothyroxine is low, or the levothyroxine is not taken appropriately (fasting, with empty stomach and not eating for 1 hour). Once starting the dose, the TSH is recommended to be checked after 6 weeks and the dose is raised if it persists high.
