Suggest Treatment For Hyper Pigmentation In Under Arms

Hi. I got my underarms waxed a week ago. For the first time in over 15 years, the skin on one underarm stayed red for two days and has now become dark (brown pigmentation). The skin is not broken and is not sensitive either. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the pigmentation? Also what could have caused this?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi
It seems you have developed post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
I would recommend you to apply depigmenting cream containing kojic acid on the dark areas twice daily for 2-3 weeks.
Regards
