Suggest Treatment For Hydrocele Testis

Dear Doctor,
I have been diagnosed hydrosil in my left testicle after taking ultrasound. The doctor treating me also prescribed some medicine for a couple of days, but after that he stopped giving me the medicine and asked me to get it removed if i feel uncomfortable. I may add here that I didn't feel any kin d of pain in it from the day the problem first noticed even now I don't have any problem except that i feel some sort of uneasyness because of its abnormal size. If I am required to travel in car which requires me to sit for long hours then ofcourse I find it uncomfrtable which returns to its normal position and comfort after taking rest. Please suggest me some treatment to fix my problem. Please don't suggest to get it removed by operation. I am scared of operation.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
The part of your history :: If I am required to travel in car which requires me to sit for long hours then of course I find it uncomfortable which returns to its normal position and comfort after taking rest. -->> If the sac returns to normal position this is then a hernia... with a small connection with the Abdominal cavity.
If the swelling is not coming to normal position then only the diagnosis is hydrocele.
Hydrocele will not change the size by any position.

So to answer your question and concern::: If this is swelling which increases and reduces , this may be left alone at the moment and can go for surgery when you are mentally prepared to go for this.
If it is hydrocele alone, you can still wait and watch. It is rarely possible that it will regress on its own.
This can be aspirated , but most of the times it recurs.
The Surgery is very simple . You can go home the same day.
Nothing is removed except the fluid and the sac is everted. a few stitches are required , which too can be solvable. Take your time and go for surgery whenever you are feeling free to get operated .
