Suggest Treatment For Hurting While Urination
my husband said he has been urinating blood for 3 days now. I asked him if he was burning during urinatio and he said no but he was hurting a little bit. he 37 yrs old, about 180 lbs drinks a lot of water but also takes a lot creatine and stuff like that.

Hi thanks for asking question.
First you have to examine your husbands urine for pus cells also along with RBC.If present it could be acute urinary tract infection.
For that water taken more.
Cranberry juice good for it .
Cefixime like Antibiotic needed for it.
Avoid excess spicy food.
Take rest.
This could also be by pyelonephritis if associated fever present.USG useful for it.
If only RBC in urine present then glomerulonephritis also has to be ruled out.
Urethral injury or stone can also lead bleed in urine.
If still cause not clear then tumour like condition has to be ruled out.
If needed x ray and urethroscopy might done for further work up.
