Suggest Treatment For Hives Around The Hips And Legs

My five year old daughter started hiving out last night. I gave her allergy medicine and it seemed to take the hives away. Today she has them again and we are noticing her skin around hips and legs are blueish. What could be going on with her? Is this worth an ER trip today or can we wait to get her into the Dr. on Monday?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your daughter's problem can be most likely due to allergic urticaria. This can be from some thing she exposed. Taking antihistamines like cetrizine ( zyrtec ) or benadryl will be helpful to control this. If that is not helping then a short course of corticosteroids like methyl prednisolone will be needed.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
