My 22 month old son has had 102 fever in his chest area while his hands and feet are cold. We have been giving him pain n fever reducer less than 5 ml. He didn t eat or drink as he normally would until after getting the medication. Should I take him to the er or wait until morning to go to his dr?
Thanks for consulting. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.
for now give him the fever syrup paracitamol 250 mg 3ml once every 6 hours for fever . other than than cool him externally with tepid sponging using normal tap water especially his chest back arm pit an fore head. this will cool his temperature. repeat whenever the temperature rises.
Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.
Have a wonderful time ahead.
