hello,i've recently had blood test and found that
i have high cholesterol levels:
cholesterol 229
non HDL 187
LDL 163
HDL 42.3
i do sport 3-4 times a week and i don't eat friend or fatty food.i have history in my family with high cholesterol.
should I take pills in my age or just
to keep on sport and diet?

Hi welcome to HCM...
Yes definitely your report showing high cholesterol ...
Esp LDL which is bad cholesterol and is very high ....
Now first rule out secondary cause for hyper cholesterol like. .
- Diabetis (by RBS )
-Liver disease ( by USG , PT , liver enzymes )
-Renal failure ( serum urea , creatinine )
-alcohol history
-hypothyroid ( history and tsh estimation )
If above cause not present than your suspicipin can be right like familial hyper cholesterol ...
Continue with diet control and exercise ...
Regular follow up...
If lipid level increasing tablet can be started for that ....
Take care ...
Consult physician for this ..
