Suggest Treatment For High BP

I have been using Concor 2.5 mg for the last few years as prescribed by my doctor for high BP ( 140/90) Recently I checked my BP and was shocked to find it at 170/93. It has been about 150 for the last few days. I am now using STAMLO 5 though i feel the effect wears off by mid afternoon. Do I still continue to use Concor 2.5 or change to another medicine? Thank you.

If I was your treating physician I would have prescribed you to add low dose Hydrochlorthiazide along with Stamlo-5.

This combination will help assist you get better soon. Also you need to keep a check on your body weight as this is the reason for many uncontrolled blood pressure cases. Every 10 pounds decrease in weight leads to approximately 5mmHg reduction in blood pressure. Physical activity and food intake control will help.
