Suggest Treatment For High BP Followed By Severe Headache

My husband was on Cardizem 240 mg, Benazepril HCG 40 mg twice a day, Metoprolo 75 mg, after hospital in June, they stopped his Blood Pressure to Metoprolo 50 mg twice a day and added Imdur 30 mg 1 day. He now has a blood pressure of 210/76 plus 79 with severe headache. Can I give him one of his other Blood Pressure Meds to get it down. He does not want to go to the ER. Please help.

His headache is due to imdur which contains nitrate,in due course of time he will develop tolerance to it and headache will be under control.meanwhile you may give him paracetamol for temporary relief of headache.as ftar as high blood pressure is concerned he may need up titration and addition of perindopril.
