Suggest Treatment For High BP And Cholesterol Levels

dear doctor,i am 32 year old men, recently i checked all checks ups like sugar level, cholesterol, ECG,scanning and blood pressure. I came to know that i have blood pressure and cholesterol and i totally stopped oily foods and doctor ask me to walk and exercise daily basis. One more thing doctor my heart beat little bit high when blood pressure checked. I am taking tablets for blood pressure and cholesterol and i am started to exercise and running, but my main problem is i am worrying about heart beat getting increased while running and exercise, is this normal or should i stop the exercise. Welcome to HCM.

Exercise is highly recommended in cases similar to yours and I am glad that you have taken this step along with restriction in the intake of foods rich in fat. These are certainly steps toward your wellness.

In regard to increase in heart beat (or heart rate) during exercise, it is very normal. In fact the heart needs to increase its output to supply blood to the exercising muscles. However, I will advise you not to take your blood pressure medications immediately before or immediately after exercise particularly running. Since this will augment the increase in heart beat around exercise. Time your exercise with this information. If you have specific questions, then feel free to write in.
