Suggest Treatment For Hemochromatosis

I have hemochromatosis (iron overload) and yesterday I had a phlebotomy treatment and today suddenly I have a red patch on my chin like you might suffer from a bruise, could that be related because I did not stay hydrated by drinking enough liquids ! Frank

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
This does not sound like it would be related unless you had put pressure on your chin in some way while being phlebotomized. However, it is important to stay well hydrated before and after phlebotomy.
Regards
