Suggest Treatment For Hematoma On The Buttocks After Falling Down

Saturday night husband fell on ice. We went to ER he has a large Hematomin on his buttocks. He has been in much pain. Today I noticed that it is much larger and spreading up his back which is sore. He is on blood thinners. Should I be concerned.I do not see signs of infection just an increase in size.

Hello thanks for your Query. if fever comes, tenderNess on affected site, any discharge then infection can be suspected. Otherwise normal hematoma, it will take 2 to 3 weeks to completely resolve. first 2 3 days pain n inflammation will be high. Give him cold packs to that area. Best wishes
