Suggest Treatment For Hematoma On Left Hip Caused After Injury
I have a hematoma on my left hip after a fall on the stairs a little over a week ago. The bruise was about 10 inches in diameter around my leg but it has mostly faded now. There is very little pain although the lump itself (about 5 inches wide by 2 inches tall) itches slightly. I m almost 46 and postmenopausal, 5 5 , about 150lbs.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have hematoma on left hip caused after injury. Well many times hematoma occur due to injury to vessel or soft tissue during surgery or while giving anesthesia . You can do alternate warm and cold packs over the Hematoma and apply Thrombophob gel as it contains Heparin Sodium and helps in faster disrupting of the Hematoma. Advil is an anti inflammatory painkiller containing Ibuprofen and it should be taken only if you have pain otherwise it is not required. I would suggest you to consult your doctor if condition doesn't get improved for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically to check tenderness and consistency . Doctor may drain the hematoma or may prescribe anticoagulant .
