Suggest Treatment For Heavy Periods

I have my (heavy) period for 13 days now. Should I be concern? Im a bit dizzy, too. This happened to me few yrs back, more than 20 days for 2 consecutive months. Didn t repeat since then (my doctor prescribed me a pill that help stop the bleeding). Could this be a sign of menopausal? Im 48 yrs old by the way.
