Suggest Treatment For Heavy Periods Leading To Fatigue

I have been having very heavy periods for past yr. I had a normal period the beginning go February and another 2wks later. I've lost a lot of blood and massive clots. I lost more clots yesterday and bleed very heave for 2hrs before passing fainting and falling down some stairs. I'm still feeling dizzy faint and my ears spring on. Standing up. I also pulled my back when I tried to stand up after fainting. I'm anaemic but found the iron tablet don't make me feel any better. I'm constantly fatigued. Why am I still feeling like this and when will I feel better. I'm at home resting in bed?

I'm 41yrs weight 22st have high blood pressure, pocket and Conns syndrome.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

First of all, we need to find the cause for the heavy bleeding. Possibilities could be:
-Abnormality of the inner lining of the uterus (eg. Endometriosis, endometrial hyperplasia, etc.)
-Hormonal imbalance
-Abnormality of the uterus (eg. Polyps, etc)
And a few others.

Only mild anemia can be treated with oral supplements; moderate to severe anemia will have to be addressed with the help of blood transfusion(s).

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
