Suggest Treatment For Heat Rash On Skin

Hello! I am a beach volleyball player and I just got heat rash on my chin. It s clear and does not itch. Not too bad but looks not plesent. If I pop the sweat out from underneath will it go away faster? I know it might scar but I never scar from popping anything. Just wondering if it will go away faster or make it worse. Thanks! -Krista

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, greetings! Thanks for posting your query. Heat rashes are caused due to clogged sweat glands. I suggest you refrain from popping them, as this may lead to infection. Heat rashes can resolve on their own, prickly sensation maybe reduced by a calamine lotion. An over the counter steroid cream maybe used if the heat rash persists.
