Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My resting pulse is presently 116& I can feel my heart pumping, should I be alarmed? I came out of hospital 7 days ago after 5 days of amonopheline infusion, my levels have just been done & are presently 6 but I feel generally fatigued & unwell! Is this normal?
I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.
All of your symptoms indicate tachycardia. In the most common cases this condition is caused by Hyperthyroidism. A disordered heart rhythm suggests Atrial fibrillation.
To confirm the diagnosis you need: 1. Electrocardiogram. 2. Complete blood count. 3. Electrolytes test. 4. Coronary angiogram. 5. Lipid test. 6. Glucose test.
Consult your cardiologist about the diagnosis and treatment.
All the best. Dr. Behar.
