Suggest Treatment For Heart Palpitations And Rapid Heart Rate

Hi, my friend has been dealing with heart palpatations and an abnormally high resting heart rate. She is 28 years old and her heart rate is 184 at rest. It has been consistently high off and on for about two weeks. Should see go to the emergency room now, with it at 184? Thank you in advance. Very worried.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. If you are sure that your friend's heart rate is continuously above 140 per minute at rest, you must advise her to consult a physician immediately to get EKG and further investigations. If it is above 140 per minute, then it is called tachycardia. Tachy cardia could also be due to anxiety and stress, still you need to be sure in these matters. Consult the physician.
