Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain heartburn at night seems to be due to
acid reflux in which the reflux of acid takes place from stomach to throat via food pipe leading to inflammation in food pipe due to acid irritation and causing burning sensation..
As during sleeping posture the posture eases the upward flow of acid therefore it is more in some individuals at night..
You should
consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and an upper G.I Endoscopy can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case of acid reflux you can be advised to take
Omeprazole,
Pantoprazole along with H2 blocker like Ranitidine, Famotidine and take antacids like
Milk of Magnesia before meals..
You can also be advised to limit intake of spicy food and also eat every after 2 hours in small portions..
Avoid heavy and fatty meals..
You can drink plenty of water..
Take more of yoghurt in diet as it is probiotics..
Do moderate workout and take short walk after meals..
Loose weight if obese..
Sleep with head slightly raised as compared to feet and recline in left lateral position..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
