Suggest Treatment For Healing The Cut On Outer Lip

HI! I have a small cut on my outer lip as a result of someone hitting me during a basketball game. I ve had it for about 2 days. Today, it has started turning a greenish color. I m not sure what this is from or how I could fix it! I did eat popcorn today, and that seemed to have made the coloring more odd. Any advice? Thanks!

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history of cut on upper lip, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply an antibiotic ointment like mupirocin twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain if present.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics and placentrax gel given only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
