Suggest Treatment For Headache And Gum Swelling Post A Root Canal

I had a root canal a couple of month ago on a molar. My abscess is still there but just a bit smaller. A few hours after the root canal I had a major headache and my gum under that tooth is still swollen and very hard (feels like a bone) is this normal or would it eventually go away?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that your infection in the molar tooth has not yet subsided and completing the Root Canal Procedure without resolution of infection is not a good idea..

Pain in head is due to radiating pain from tooth..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

Re-root canal treatment and meditation like antibiotics and painkillers will be advised..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
