Suggest Treatment For Head Injury In A 5 Months Old Child

hello,
my 5 months old baby girl got a hit on hear head just above her eye while she was asleep, a framed picture fell from the wall just to hit her head, she woke up screaming, I put some ice and calmed her down, her forehead was a little blue from the bump..this morning i noticed a red bruise over her right eye and part of her fore head, should i be worried?
she acts normal, but i really can't tell whether i should take her to a doctor or not?
can you please help?

Hello. Thank you for your question. Head injury is very common in children of this age. The most important thing is that she did not lose consciousness at the time of the injury. Bruising is expected. In fact, the bruise may look worse tomorrow than it does today. then, with time, it will get better and look good as new. The only other sign to watch for is vomiting within the first 24 hours of the injury. If this happens, consult your doctor immediately. If not, you do not have to worry about internal injury.
