Suggest Treatment For Growth Near The Nipples Of An Infant

My baby is 6.5 months old. She had an abascus grown adjacent to her left nipple. That is completly fine now as it had burst and proper cleaning and dressing happened at the hospital. I was keeping it closed by cleaning it with betadine then applying tbact ointment, and covered with a swab and tegaderm on it. The area hot ok and i had removed the dressing. But today i noticed that the nipple is lil watery nd lil swollen nd black. What should i do?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Swelling in the nipple appearing after developing abscess in the nipple needs to be examined by your treating doctor.
Watery and clear swelling indicates that the pus has resolved and thus the risk of infection is low.
The cause of black discoloration of nipple cannot be explained.
However, there is nothing to worry since the infection has cleared and responded well to antibiotic treatment.
A clinical assessment by your treating doctor is necessary.
Supportive measures like hot fomentation can help to resolve the swelling.

Thanks and take care
