Suggest Treatment For Gestational Diabetes

iam 28 weeks pregnant and suffering from gestional diabetic this is my second issue.iam having a three years old girl.last time too iwas gestional diabetic from 8th month onwards.afterconceving this time (around four weeks).my iron level was 11.8. Now my iron level is 10.2 mg in blood.doctor advicing for sucrose injection.should i go for it or continue with regular iron doses.i am taking fortiron tablet(once)231 mg

Hi,

The Haemoglobin level does decrease in pregnancy especially in the later half.
If you are able to tolerate oral iron tablets ,it is better that you continue with them.
You could recheck your Haemoglobin at 36 weeks,if found to be les than 8 you may need injectable iron or blood.
But at present oral iron tablet should be continued.
About the gestational diabetes ,hope you are monitoring your blood sugar levels.
