Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello doctors, i am a 29year old guy, my sgot level is 82 & sgpt is 122 i got some multiple tiny calculi in my gall bladder and a mild swollen spleen, and i already have quit drinking from the day I came to know about it. So kindly help me with reducing my sgot and sgpt enzymes of liver. Also my bilirubin conjugate is 0.4, so is this happening all because of calculi or there are some other cause. Kindly help me with this.
Decreasing alcohol use would definitely help improve your liver function or at least stop it from becoming worse.
In addition to this, a generally healthy diet and lifestyle would also be important. This would involve a wide range of fruits and vegetables and an adequate exercise.
For most persons, at least 150 mins of exercise is recommended weekly.
The increase in bilirubin may be due to the effect on the liver and the stones mentioned.
I hope this helps
